Graduate Student Intern

Brianna Williams is a counselor in training who brings over fifteen years of diverse
experience across behavioral health, developmental services, and clinical settings to
her practice. Currently in the final months of her Master of Science in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling at Eastern Oregon University, she is completing her graduate
internship at Cultivation Counseling. Brianna holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology
from the University of Idaho and combines a strong academic foundation with extensive
hands-on field expertise.

Grounded in a person centered and culturally sensitive approach, Brianna believes that
client autonomy and individualized understanding are the core components of lasting
healing. She is deeply committed to cultivating secure, collaborative therapeutic
relationships that empower clients on their journey toward growth, resilience, and
meaningful change. Her therapeutic style is holistic and integrative, drawing from
evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, including Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, and EMDR. Working
from a trauma-informed approach, Brianna supports individuals who are navigating
distressing life events, relationship difficulties, medical trauma, substance use, rural
mental health concerns, justice and legal stressors, personal well-being and self-
efficacy, and work and career-related stressors including workplace accidents, chronic
pain and illness, and career transitions.

Before transitioning into clinical counseling, Brianna spent a significant portion of her
career as a developmental therapist and clinical supervisor supporting individuals with
developmental disabilities. This background built her deep capacity for navigating
complex, high-need cases. Her unique professional journey also includes specialized
roles as a licensed private investigator in which she worked closely with justice involved
individuals, and as a clinic administrator within occupational psychology and integrative
health settings. These experiences provide her with a comprehensive understanding of
systemic stress, crisis management, and human behavior.

Brianna actively maintains professional memberships with the American Counseling
Association, Idaho Counseling Association, American Rehabilitation Counseling
Association, and the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling to
ensure the highest standard of ethical, trauma informed care. She is dedicated to
creating a safe, welcoming, and collaborative space for anyone standing at a
crossroads. If you could use support on your path forward, please do not hesitate to
reach out.
