Trenton Delva, LPC

Therapist

Trent is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho. Trent has experience
working with teens (16+) and adults of all ages in outpatient and university settings. He believes

that increasing psychological flexibility is a worthwhile goal for everyone. Trent earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Lewis-Clark State College in 2022 and his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Idaho State University in 2024.

Through his training, he has learned how to approach clients with cultural humility and to honor
and respect the dignity of each person he works with. Trent has experience in individual and
group counseling. Trent’s counseling approach utilizes an evidence-based treatment model
known as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is a mindfulness based approach
that focuses on helping people learn how to change over identification with thoughts, feelings,
memories, and urges, as well as how to increase values-based action taking. Trent’s approach to
treating addictions includes Motivational Interviewing (MI), ACT, and Relapse Prevention

Therapy (RPT).

Trent enjoys spending time with family, playing racquetball, trading card games, rucking, and

reading.
